Dr. James Edgel Van Hoose

 DR. JAMES EDGEL VANHOOSE son of KENIS and IDA SAXTON RICE VANHOOSE was born November 23, 1929 in Johnson Co., Kentucky, and died 1992. He married LORA MAE WILLIAMS January 03, 1953, daughter of OSCAR WILLIAMS and ANNA. She died 1967.

Dr. VanHoose taught in a one-room school at Nippa at age 16, went on to college at Moorehead University and medical school at the University of Louisville. He practiced medicine in Louisville, Ft. Benning, Ga, Charleston, SC and the Paintsville/Floyd Co. area until he died in 1992. He m. 2nd Sandra Wood.
